Cassie Sheppard, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner/Speech Language Pathologist

Cassie grew up in Saskatchewan, Canada and her love for education, helping others, and hockey brought her to Minot, ND. She is an ambitious and motivated individual, who provides fun, play-based speech and language services for children and their families. She earned both her undergraduate and masters degrees in Speech-Language Pathology at Minot State University. Cassie has over 10 years of experience providing speech and language therapy in a pediatric private clinic and public school system.

She is a Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) trained clinician and an Assistive and Augmentative Communication (AAC) trained clinician educated in Gestalt Language Processing. She provides specialized speech and language services following the Natural Language Acquisition framework for Gestalt Language Processors. Cassie has years of experience coordinating, managing, and providing information regarding assistive technology and AAC at a pediatric private clinic. She is passionate about working with children who use AAC and their families.

Cassie has extensive experience providing play-based speech and language therapy services for a diverse pediatric population. She understands play-based therapy is essential to supporting children’s communication goals long term. Her other areas of interest include working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech sound disorders, and childhood language disorders.

Cassie has earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also licensed by the North Dakota State Board of Examiners on Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (NDSBE).
